Do you take plasterboard?
Yes. Plasterboard has been classified as hazardous waste since 2009 — it can't go in a general skip or mixed load because the gypsum reacts with organic waste to produce toxic gas. I handle it separately and it goes to the right licensed facility.
What about materials with old insulation or possible asbestos?
Anything from pre-2000 buildings where I suspect asbestos I won't touch — that's specialist work requiring specialist kit and certification. For everything else (fibreglass, mineral wool, standard insulation board) I'll bag and take it.
