Meopham is my southern patch — DA13, from the village green down towards Culverstone and across to Harvel and Great Buckland. It's rural compared to Gravesend: detached cottages, bungalows along the Longfield Road, post-war semis around Meopham Green. The gardens are usually bigger, so garden clearances — overgrown hedges, old shed contents, bramble rip-outs — make up a lot of my Meopham work.
Loft clearances are common in the 1970s and 1980s bungalow belt around Wrotham Road — the lofts in that era of build are often full of stored furniture and old insulation that's been there for decades. I bring my own torches and bag everything carefully. If there's any doubt about older insulation I'll flag it before I start.
The nearest HWRC for Meopham is Gravesham's Thames Way site — roughly 7 miles north, which puts a lot of people off for anything bigger than car loads. Travel time for me is 20–25 minutes from Gravesend, depending on the A227. Same-day is possible but I'll be honest if the diary's full — next-day is more reliable for Meopham jobs.
