Swanscombe is 15 minutes west on the A226 — DA10, across to Greenhithe and down towards Stone. I come through this way regularly so same-day is usually achievable if you call before midday. The access via the A2 means Swanscombe doesn't add much travel time to a Gravesend run.
The housing around Milton Street and London Road is mostly 1950s and 1960s ex-council semis — outdoor storage has built up over the decades in a lot of these properties. Garage clearances and shed clearances are the most common jobs I get in Swanscombe, often full-to-empty with everything from old bikes and tools to furniture and white goods. There's also some older terrace housing near the station and the newer Whitecliffe development to the north.
