SixClearancesAroundGravesend—Before&After(August2026)
Since the July post a few people have messaged saying they liked seeing the before-and-afters, so here's the August sheet — six jobs from around Gravesend, each one photographed before I started and after I swept off. Drag the handle across each pair and you'll see exactly what changed. No stock photos, no staging — just the jobs as they were.
Gravesend
Full house clearance
The big one this month. A whole house's worth had come out the front — mattress, bed base, wardrobe, chests of drawers, the lot stacked between the front wall and the door. Loaded it all in one visit and left just the wheelie bins standing. If you're clearing a relative's place or getting a house ready to sell, this is what it looks like when it's done.
Gravesend
Renovation waste + an old fridge-freezer
A side return stacked after some work indoors — an old fridge-freezer carcass, broken paving slabs, bath panels and dust sheets. All gone and the block paving swept clean; you can see the tail of my tipper in the after shot. One thing on fridges and freezers: the gas in them has to be handled properly, so give me a ring about those rather than just booking — it's never a problem, it just needs saying.
Gravesend
Bricks and plasterboard off a patio
A knocked-down wall's worth of bricks, blocks and plasterboard heaped on the back patio. Heavy stuff — it all comes out by hand, barrowed through to the truck. The flowers stayed exactly where they were.
Gravesend
Back garden and lean-to clear-out
A back garden where things had built up under the lean-to — an old mattress and bedding, garden chairs, a cool box, bits of furniture. Cleared the lot out and left the pots, planters and anything they wanted kept exactly where it was. That's always worth saying on garden jobs: tell me what stays and it stays.
Gravesend
Boxes and bags off a back lawn
Cardboard boxes, bubble wrap, bin bags and a few odd bits lined up along the fence. Small job, one load, gone the same day — the kind of pickup people are often surprised is worth my while. It is. No job's too small to ask about.
Gravesend
Black bags off the front
Seven or eight black bags and a couple of boxes tucked inside the front wall. Ten minutes, straight on the truck — that's it loaded up in the after shot, cone out, ready to pull away. Bag collections like this are usually same-day or next-day.
That's the August sheet. Every load tipped legally — I'm an EA-registered upper-tier waste carrier (CBDU330845, you can check it on the public register). If something's building up at yours, WhatsApp me a photo of the pile and I'll come back with a fair price, usually within the hour.
